Carrier Ops Associate

About the role

Passport is looking for a Carrier Ops Associate to support internal operations, coordinate cross‑functional projects, manage shipment and vendor issues, and help implement automation and AI tools that improve team workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with operations teams to understand daily workflows and identify automation opportunities.
• Assist in testing and deploying automation tools such as Parabola, Appscripts, and GPT/LLM solutions.
• Experiment with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, copilots) to draft communications, summarize information, and support internal processes.
• Track and report on time savings, efficiency gains, and the impact of automation initiatives.
• Proactively identify shipment delays, communicate issues to internal teams, and maintain accurate shipment records.
• Serve as the primary contact for vendor and carrier inquiries, review and submit required documentation, and investigate parcel concerns.
• Enter KPI data accurately, run reports, and troubleshoot data deficiencies.
• Support internal projects by coordinating tasks, tracking progress, managing timelines, and communicating updates.
• Create and maintain SOPs, checklists, and documentation, including guidance on AI tool usage.
