Cashier-Cage

About the role

Sheraton is hiring a Cashier-Cage in Cairo. The role covers all cash transactions at the front window, filling and marking the bank, supplying change booths and cabinets with coins and materials, and balancing the bank at the end of each shift.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all transactions (front window, fill bank, mark bank duties) according to local standard operating procedure standards.
• Supply change booths and cabinets with sufficient coins and materials.
• Balance the bank at the end of shift and notify the supervisor of any discrepancy.
• Secure all cash and cash equivalents to prevent loss through theft.
• Monitor inventory in the working area (coins, wrapping paper, forms, wet towels).
• Wash hands before and after handling currency or coins, entering the drawer, completing a transaction with a government representative, and reaching across the counter.
• Follow company and safety and security policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, complete safety training and certifications, and keep a clean, professional appearance.
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, assist people with disabilities, and speak clearly and professionally.
• Move, lift, carry, push and pull objects under 10 pounds and stand, sit or walk for long periods.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No related work experience or supervisory experience required.
• No license or certification required.
