Chef de Cuisine – West Cairo

About the role

The Crowne Plaza West Cairo Arkan is seeking an experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead its culinary operations. You will oversee food preparation, ensure quality standards, and collaborate with hotel departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Interact with guests to gather feedback and resolve complaints.
• Monitor financial budgets, control food costs, and review recipe yields.
• Coordinate daily with all hotel department heads to meet kitchen needs.
• Assist the Head Chef in event planning and banquet set‑ups.
• Maintain portion control, waste minimisation, and adherence to recipe cards.
• Manage stock levels, ensure proper storage, rotation, and quality of food supplies.
• Oversee staff uniform standards, motivation, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Prepare and update culinary operation manuals and ensure compliance with hotel policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of culinary experience in a hotel or similar environment.
• Strong managerial abilities with the capacity to influence and lead a team.
• Culinary diploma or higher from a recognised institution.
• Creative, innovative, and hands‑on approach to daily operations.
• Excellent communication and basic computer skills.
