Customs Clearance & Import Logistics Supervisor

About the role

The company, a leading fashion and retail group with premium international brands, is looking for a Customs Clearance & Import Logistics Supervisor. The role ensures smooth import operations, compliance with Egypt customs regulations, and timely delivery of merchandise to stores.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with brands about delivery schedules and payments.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and couriers for quotations, pricing, and documentation.
• Maintain compliant shipping documentation and ensure customs clearance according to Egypt regulations.
• Prepare daily and weekly delivery KPIs, trackers, and periodic reports.
• Evaluate shipping routes, freight forwarder options, and manage demurrage, detention, and related logistics costs.
• Review invoices and shipping manifests for customs compliance.
• Suggest improvements to enhance customs clearance operations and import processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics (preferred).
• At least 8 years of experience in customs clearance or import logistics, preferably in retail/fashion.
• Extensive knowledge of import procedures and Egypt customs regulations.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and time‑management abilities with high attention to detail.
• Self‑starter with a hands‑on approach, able to work in a small team.
• Good command of English.
