Digitization Engineer - Aveva System Platform

About the role

Advansys is looking for an Application Design Engineer for AVEVA System Platform to join its team in Cairo. You will design, develop and implement industrial automation and SCADA solutions, working with customers, project teams and technical stakeholders to support digital transformation, Unified Operations Centers, data integration, visualization and analytics projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement and maintain AVEVA System Platform applications
• Develop SCADA and HMI solutions based on customer requirements and project specifications
• Integrate systems with PLCs, RTUs, databases and third-party systems
• Take part in FAT, SAT, commissioning, startup and site support
• Troubleshoot system issues to ensure reliable plant operations
• Prepare technical documentation, functional design specifications and user manuals
• Support digitalization initiatives such as dashboards, KPI monitoring and analytics
• Deliver projects on time and within scope, complying with industry standards, quality and safety regulations
• Provide technical support and customer training when required

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering
• 2-3 years in industrial automation and SCADA or control systems engineering
• Hands-on experience with AVEVA System Platform (at least 2 years)
• Willingness to travel for projects

Required skills

• SCADA/HMI development and system integration
• FAT/SAT, commissioning and site support experience
• Knowledge of PLCs, RTUs and industrial automation architectures
• Industrial protocols: OPC UA, Modbus
• Preferred: AVEVA Plant SCADA, BMS/UOC solutions, SQL, Python, JavaScript, VBAC, cloud/IIoT knowledge and AVEVA certifications
