Director of Food and Beverage

About the role

Accor is looking for a Director of Food and Beverage for a hotel in Hurghada. The role develops and executes a food and beverage operating strategy aligned with the brand's business strategy, manages the department's business and functions, and ensures high-quality service and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Create a food and beverage operating strategy aligned with the brand's strategy and integrate departmental goals into game plans
• Hire the F&B leadership team, run orientation and new-hire training, and mentor staff while monitoring monthly turnover
• Prepare and present new menus and beverage lists, and prepare and monitor the monthly and annual F&B budget
• Control sales, costs, quality and service standards, and manage inventory and storage of materials and utensils
• Organize meetings, promote sales, and contribute to income plans and marketing programmes
• Determine staffing requirements for the next year in line with the budget and the General Manager's approval
• Take part in the Food Safety Team and MR meetings, and carry out quality management and food safety systems
• Follow environmental and energy-saving measures, including waste reduction and safe handling of chemicals
• Carry out other duties assigned by managers and hotel management

Required profile

• Extensive overseas experience required
• Bachelor's degree, with at least 6 years of related work experience, or 2 years in the same position
• Professional level of English
• Sufficient theoretical and practical background, with attendance at courses and seminars in the field
