Duty Manager - Hotel Operations

About the role

Accor is looking for a Duty Manager for its hotel in Sharm El-Sheikh. The role supervises all hotel operations during the assigned shift, ensuring guests receive prompt, effective service and that the hotel runs smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all hotel operations during the shift, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage and maintenance.
• Respond promptly to guest requests, complaints and emergencies to keep satisfaction high.
• Manage staffing levels, delegate tasks and motivate team members.
• Monitor compliance with hotel policies, health and safety regulations and quality standards.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and facilities regularly to keep them clean and efficient.
• Handle conflict resolution and problem solving for guest issues and team concerns.
• Liaise with other departments for smooth coordination.
• Prepare shift reports covering incidents, guest feedback and operational updates.
• Support management with training, scheduling and performance evaluations.
• Ensure cash handling, billing accuracy and inventory management follow financial control measures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel management or a related hospitality role.
• BSc degree in Hospitality Management or relevant experience.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Strong leadership, customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and decisive under pressure.
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of hotel management software is a plus.
