Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Industrial Plant

About the role

Gazala Steel Fabrication is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join its team in 10th of Ramadan City. You will be responsible for keeping critical electrical equipment running smoothly in a high‑volume steel production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot faults in motors, transformers, switchgear, control panels, VFDs, PLCs and instrumentation.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend reliability improvements.
• Plan and execute maintenance shutdowns and equipment overhauls.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and LOTO procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports and equipment history.
• Coordinate with production and other departments to minimise disruptions.
• Supervise contractors and technicians during maintenance activities.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support installation, commissioning and testing of new electrical equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 1–4 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.

Required skills

• Knowledge of PLCs.
• Experience with VFDs.
• Understanding of MCCs (Motor Control Centers).
• Familiarity with electrical distribution systems.
• Instrumentation knowledge.
• Proficiency with CMMS software.
