Event Executive – Sales & Marketing

About the role

The Event Executive supports Marriott’s sales and marketing initiatives by keeping internal teams informed of upcoming events, assisting colleagues with sales performance, and ensuring smooth communication with guests. This full‑time position is based at the hotel in Zamalek, Cairo and involves both administrative and guest‑facing duties.

Key responsibilities

• Update information boards regularly to notify employees of important events.
• Assist employees struggling with sales targets and assign lead calls or emails to Sales Executives based on rotation.
• Create and maintain spreadsheets for mailing lists, tours and other sales‑related activities.
• Enter, retrieve, reconcile and verify data in the sales‑process software.
• Resolve guest calls, requests or problems by contacting the appropriate department.
• Promote Marriott’s brand internally and externally, using up‑selling techniques to maximize revenue while preserving guest loyalty.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching staff.
• Report accidents, injuries or unsafe conditions and ensure compliance with company policies and appearance standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience in sales or hospitality.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheets.
• Experience using sales‑process software.
• Knowledge of sales techniques and up‑selling strategies.
