Field Trainer – Elevator Industry

About the role

KONE is looking for a Field Trainer in Cairo to plan and deliver new and ongoing training on KONE methodologies to field operatives. The trainer also prepares operatives for upcoming product and service changes affecting methods and tools, and works closely with business and function stakeholders, supervisors and troubleshooters to identify workforce competence needs.

Key responsibilities

• Train and coach field operatives in the Training Center and on site, including non-technical staff who need to understand technical topics, and experiment with new learning methods
• Take part in training planning and catalogue creation, create own trainings and keep training records (participants, results, materials) up to date in konelearning.com
• Localize global instructions and training content, including translation and proof-reading, and maintain and proof-read translations of Containment and Retrofit letters and product documentation (AM, AS, ASG)
• Communicate changes to codes, methods, products and training materials to field operatives and part-time Field Trainers, and take part in field reference groups
• Act as a safety role model, take part in incident and severe near-miss investigations with the Safety Manager, observe risky methods and assess safety and method passports

Required profile

• Bachelor's or diploma degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 3 to 5 years of experience in installation or field support in the elevator and escalator industry
• Excellent verbal and written Arabic
• Strong communication, presentation and analytical skills
• Motivated, goal-oriented, organized self-starter
