Finance Manager – Accounting Delivery

About the role

PwC's ETIC (Egypt Technology and Innovation Centre) in Cairo is looking for a Finance Manager to manage day-to-day accounting delivery for assigned clients or entities. The role covers General Ledger, Record-to-Report, Accounts Payable, Order-to-Cash, FP&A support and close activities, combining accounting expertise with hands-on people leadership and client coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounting delivery for assigned clients, entities or process towers, including month-end, quarter-end and year-end close.
• Coordinate statutory and management reporting packs and monitor service delivery against agreed service levels and quality expectations.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, intercompany balances and variances before senior approval where required.
• Apply IFRS, US GAAP, IPSAS and local statutory rules, and act as escalation point for delivery issues and client concerns.
• Lead and coach team members, plan workloads, set priorities and contribute to performance management.
• Drive standardization of processes, templates, working papers and reporting routines, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Maintain process documentation, SOPs and control evidence, and support audits, transitions and onboarding of new entities.
• Collaborate with procurement, payroll, tax, treasury, IT and transformation teams, and track capacity and delivery economics.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field; CPA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent preferred.
• 8-12 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including shared services, BPO, professional services or multinational environments.
• Experience leading small to mid-sized teams and coordinating work across multiple clients, entities or countries.
• Experience in a Big Four or reputable audit/advisory firm is highly desirable.
• German is a plus; work visa sponsorship is not offered.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of financial close, reconciliations, balance sheet governance and management reporting.
• Good knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
• Hands-on ERP experience such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics/AX.
• Advanced Excel; reporting, BI or automation tools are an advantage.
