About the role
The Food & Beverage Supervisor will lead the front‑of‑house team at Portaluna, the first Morgans Originals hotel in Egypt. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure a memorable dining experience that reflects the brand’s vibrant and iconic style.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coach wait staff, runners and support personnel, delivering training and performance feedback.
- Oversee guest service, handling enquiries, concerns and special dietary requests promptly and professionally.
- Maintain in‑depth knowledge of the specialty menu, ingredient sourcing, preparation methods and beverage pairings, and guide the team in presenting this information.
- Coordinate daily operations with kitchen and bar, ensuring accurate order taking, timely delivery and proper table settings.
- Drive upselling of premium dishes and beverages to enhance guest experience and increase revenue.
- Prepare and submit daily operational reports covering guest feedback, sales figures and staff performance.
Required profile
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a hospitality team in a high‑end restaurant or hotel setting.
- Strong focus on service excellence and guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills for menu explanation and guest interaction.
- Organised approach to managing service flow, table settings and coordination with back‑of‑house teams.
- Attention to detail in reporting and revenue‑generation activities.
