Formwork Project Engineer

About the role

Doka Egypt, part of the Umdasch Group, is looking for a results-driven Project Engineer to join its engineering team in Cairo. The engineer contributes to dynamic projects across Saudi Arabia, helping shape construction innovation in a diverse and rapidly developing market.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse structural drawings provided by clients
• Implement formwork solutions according to the instructions of the Sales Engineer, Team Leader or Senior Planning Engineer
• Propose the most economical and technically sound solution
• Carry out basic static calculations
• Produce material lists, offer drawings and shop drawings
• Assist the Sales Engineer with site visits and coordinate the timely delivery of shop drawings
• Coordinate with clients on technical issues and with Operations, Site Supervisors and the Project Coordinator
• Take material availability into account during design and communicate with the Sales Department when the Head of Engineering is absent
• Support the formwork instructor and coordinate with the site team

Required profile

• Civil or Technical Engineering qualification
• 5 years of experience
• Experience in erecting and dismantling formwork and site supervision
• Team player with good communication skills, both within the company and with clients
• Attention to detail, technical and static understanding, and a feel for economical matters
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and willingness to work overtime if required
