QA/QC Manager - Asset Development, Real Estate

About the role

The QA/QC Manager is pivotal in ensuring construction quality and compliance across projects, protecting the company's investment by minimising defects and rework costs. The role requires mastery of the Quality Management System, leadership in monitoring compliance across entities, and strategic execution of continuous improvement initiatives tailored to project specifications and standards. It involves close collaboration with project teams, supervision consultants and contractors, along with robust documentation management and regulatory adherence, leading to seamless project handover and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) across assigned projects in line with company procedures and international quality standards.
• Monitor and evaluate Supervision Consultants on quality control, timely inspections, contract compliance and quality process administration; hire strong supervision team members and improve the documentation cycle and quality of submittals.
• Carry out quality audits and ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety requirements, environmental regulations, Egyptian Building Codes and international quality standards.
• Monitor contractors' compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, method statements, Egyptian codes and contractual requirements, and reduce rejected or commented submittals and recurring defects.
• Manage the full QA/QC documentation cycle, keeping records recorded, tracked, filed and retrievable, and ensuring audit readiness.
• Review and monitor inspection requests, material inspection requests, method statements, material submittals, RFIs, mock-ups and testing reports.
• Ensure timely closure of non-conformance reports, corrective action requests, preventive actions and quality observations.
• Take part in milestone inspections, snagging, de-snagging, practical completion and final handover, and ensure snag closure before handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in quality assurance and quality control within construction or real estate development.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale residential, commercial, mixed-use and infrastructure developments in Egypt.
• Extensive knowledge of Egyptian Building Codes, construction specifications and international quality standards.
