General Manager - Movenpick Resort El Quseir

About the role

Movenpick Resort El Quseir, part of the Accor network, is looking for an experienced and visionary General Manager to lead its luxury resort operations in El Quseir, Egypt. The role covers all aspects of resort operations, ensures exceptional guest experiences and drives profitability while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all resort operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house departments, ensuring seamless coordination and service delivery
• Develop and implement strategic business plans to meet revenue targets, optimise profitability and improve market positioning
• Lead, mentor and motivate department heads and staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
• Manage the resort's budget, financial performance and P&L statements
• Maintain guest satisfaction through high service standards, addressing guest concerns and implementing feedback mechanisms
• Build relationships with corporate clients, travel partners and local community members
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, health and safety standards and company policies
• Identify market opportunities to increase occupancy and revenue, and oversee marketing initiatives and brand positioning
• Run regular performance reviews, training programmes and crisis management to support staff development and minimise operational disruption

Required profile

• Fluent German (written and spoken) is a critical requirement, with proven ability to communicate professionally and with guests
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• At least 5 years of progressive management experience in luxury hotel or resort operations
• Proven track record managing P&L, budgets and financial performance in hospitality
• Leadership, communication and strategic thinking skills, with a customer-focused mindset
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment with international clientele
• Preferred: experience in luxury resort management in the Middle East or North Africa, familiarity with the Egyptian hospitality market, and experience with German-speaking guests or tour operators
