Hygiene Manager

About the role

The Hygiene Manager will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of sanitation and hygiene standards at Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh. This role ensures that all food served to guests and staff is free from microbiological, chemical and physical hazards, and that all work areas meet the required hygiene levels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and upgrade hygiene and sanitation procedures in line with international food safety standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of food preparation areas, storage facilities and service zones to identify and correct any non‑conformities.
• Monitor microbiological, chemical and physical testing results and take corrective actions as needed.
• Train and coach kitchen and service staff on proper hygiene practices and safe food handling.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure compliance with HACCP and other relevant certifications.
• Prepare detailed reports on hygiene performance for management review.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hygiene, sanitation or food safety management within a hotel or resort environment.
• Strong understanding of microbiological, chemical and physical contamination controls.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to enforce standards consistently.
• Effective communication skills to train and influence staff at all levels.

Required skills

• Knowledge of international food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).
• Experience conducting hygiene audits and inspections.
• Ability to interpret microbiological test results.
