Junior Sous Chef – Oriental Pastry

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Sous Chef specialized in Oriental pastries to join the culinary team at Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh. The role combines hands‑on pastry production with menu innovation and daily kitchen management, supporting both restaurant and banquet operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Oriental dishes, including mezzes, grills and traditional specialties, ensuring high‑quality standards.
• Develop new pastry recipes, create menu items and update menu cards in line with culinary trends.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, monitoring food quality, freshness and temperature control.
• Manage inventory levels, order supplies and control waste to maintain cost efficiency.
• Supervise and train junior chefs, ensuring compliance with health, safety and sanitation regulations.
• Maintain consistent presentation and attention to detail across all pastry outputs.

Required profile

• Three to five years of experience working with Oriental pastries or in a similar culinary environment.
• Proven ability to lead a team in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure kitchen.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
• Strong focus on quality, consistency and food safety.
