Maintenance Technician – Cairo International Airport

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure the smooth operation of all airport facilities by responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and handling routine repairs across mechanical, electrical, plumbing and building systems.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate solutions promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls and carpentry items.
• Carry out surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and replace light bulbs, A/C filters and other consumables.
• Use lockout/tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and document daily activities for shift hand‑over.
• Perform interior and exterior landscaping repairs and maintain sprinkler systems.
• Update HVAC schedules and temperature settings via computer systems.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and follow safety and security policies.
• Physical capability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb and perform heavier tasks with assistance.
• Clear communication skills and professional appearance.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to a wide range of building systems.
