Mechanical Site Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Site Engineer will be based on construction sites in Cairo, overseeing the installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical systems. This full‑time position requires close collaboration with civil, structural and MEP teams to ensure projects meet specifications and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical works on‑site, including HVAC, fire protection and plumbing installations.
• Monitor quality, safety and compliance with project specifications and standards such as IEEE, NEC, NFPA and ASHRAE.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and consultants to resolve technical issues promptly.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for project managers.
• Participate in site meetings, inspections and hand‑over activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a mechanical site engineer or in electromechanical contracting on large‑scale projects.
• Ability to work effectively on‑site with daily field supervision.
• Strong communication skills for interfacing with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders.
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental best practices.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (mandatory) and Revit (preferred).
• Mechanical shop drawing expertise for HVAC, fire protection and plumbing systems.
• Familiarity with MEP systems, construction drawings and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in engineering software and MS Office for reporting and project tracking.
