MHPSS Coordinator – Alexandria

About the role

The Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Coordinator will lead a team of volunteers delivering psychosocial activities in Alexandria. Reporting to the Project Manager, the coordinator ensures high‑quality implementation, provides technical guidance, and handles all administrative aspects of the MHPSS component.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule psychosocial support activities for the Palestinian educational initiative, adhering to timelines and quality standards.
• Provide ongoing technical and supervisory support to teachers and volunteers of diverse nationalities.
• Conduct regular field monitoring visits to ensure child‑centered, context‑appropriate delivery.
• Coordinate with educational initiative managers to organize and facilitate sessions.
• Oversee administrative tasks: work schedules, session documentation, logistical planning, purchase requests, and financial advances.
• Collaborate with the MEAL team to follow up on monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning processes.

Required profile

• Experience in coordinating mental health or psychosocial support programs, preferably in humanitarian or educational settings.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage volunteers and administrative workflows.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a child‑safeguarding awareness.

• Technical knowledge of MHPSS principles and practices.
• Field monitoring and reporting experience.
• Logistics and procurement coordination.
