Nurse Supervisor

About the role

The Nurse Supervisor is a full‑time, on‑site position at Misr International Hospital in Cairo. You will lead nursing teams on assigned units, ensuring safe, high‑quality patient care while supporting clinical decision‑making and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Organize daily staffing, assign workloads, and monitor adherence to nursing protocols and infection‑control standards.
• Oversee nursing staff performance, provide feedback, and resolve conflicts.
• Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to facilitate patient care.
• Address patient and family concerns promptly and professionally.
• Mentor, coach, and train nurses, including orientation of new staff.
• Monitor documentation, reporting, and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and ensure continuous compliance with safety standards.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and supervisory abilities, including team coordination and conflict resolution.
• Clinical nursing expertise in acute‑care settings with sound judgment in patient assessment, care planning, and prioritization.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Organizational and time‑management skills to handle staffing, workflows, and documentation efficiently.
• Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and adherence to professional standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (or equivalent) and a valid nursing license/registration in Egypt.
• Several years of nursing experience, including prior supervisory or charge‑nurse roles.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Cairo and participate in shift‑based schedules as required.
• Experience in large or tertiary healthcare centers is an advantage; additional leadership or critical‑care certifications are beneficial.
