Onsite Food Safety & Quality Operations Coordinator

About the role

The Onsite Food Safety & Quality Operations Coordinator ensures that raw materials, packaging, and finished products meet the highest quality and safety standards while supporting the October plant and external cold stores. The role combines laboratory testing, SAP data management, and workforce training to guarantee compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage receipt of raw materials and packaging, ensuring compliance with sampling, inspection, RMV4, and GDP guidelines.
• Prepare daily reports on raw material receipts, rejections, and SAP transactions.
• Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests on work‑in‑progress and finished goods, record results, and report deviations.
• Perform internal calibration checks of laboratory equipment according to schedule.
• Support investigations of product deviations, quality issues, and customer complaints.
• Maintain reagents, tools, and instruments, reporting any abnormalities.
• Implement hold and release procedures, ensure EHS compliance, and conduct safety checks.
• Perform drinking water, wastewater analysis, and food safety audits.
• Deliver structured training programs to develop the contingent workforce.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Chemistry, Food Science, Agriculture or a related scientific field.
• 1–2 years experience in the FMCG industry (preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Solid knowledge of GMP, GLP and food‑safety standards.

Required skills

• SAP transaction processing for raw materials.
• Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Operation and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment (titrators, pipetting systems, pH meters).
• Conducting chemical and physical laboratory tests.
• Calibration of laboratory instruments.
