Procurement Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Manager to lead sourcing, supplier management and logistics for raw materials, spare parts and consumables. The role ensures cost‑effective, high‑quality supply while supporting production continuity and sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for raw materials, spare parts, consumables and services, balancing cost, quality and availability.
• Lead negotiations with local and international suppliers covering pricing, payment terms, contracts and long‑term agreements.
• Monitor global raw‑material markets to anticipate price movements, availability challenges and supply risks.
• Establish and manage supplier evaluation, qualification, performance monitoring and audit processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations and sustainability standards such as FSC and ISO.
• Manage end‑to‑end inbound and outbound logistics, including import of kraft paper and export of finished bags.
• Optimize freight, shipping, customs clearance and logistics processes to reduce costs and improve service levels.
• Coordinate material requirements with planning and production to maintain uninterrupted production and optimal inventory.
• Drive cost‑optimization and continuous‑improvement initiatives across procurement, supply chain and logistics.
• Develop contingency and risk‑mitigation plans for supply disruptions, FX fluctuations and price volatility.
• Manage and optimize ERP/SAP procurement and supply‑chain processes.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of buyers, planners and logistics professionals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement and supply‑chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation and contract‑management skills.
• Ability to lead and develop a cross‑functional team.
• Experience with risk mitigation, contingency planning and compliance with sustainability standards.
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
