Sanitary Team Leader

About the role

The Sanitary Team Leader will oversee the review and coordination of all sanitary and plumbing designs for real‑estate development projects. This position ensures that designs meet codes, standards, and sustainability goals while supporting the Electromechanical Senior Manager with reporting and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Review sanitary and plumbing design drawings, calculations, and specifications prepared by consultants.
• Verify compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Assess hydraulic calculations for water supply, drainage, sewage, stormwater, and firefighting systems.
• Identify design discrepancies and coordination issues across architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
• Provide technical comments and feedback to consultants to align designs with project objectives and company standards.
• Participate in design review workshops and coordination meetings.
• Ensure sanitary designs integrate with the overall master plan and infrastructure concepts.
• Monitor consultants’ adherence to schedules and deliverables from a design‑review perspective.
• Stay updated on best practices, sustainable sanitary solutions, and industry innovations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with a focus on sanitary/plumbing.
• 7‑10 years of professional experience in sanitary or plumbing engineering.
• Consultancy background and knowledge of HVAC are a plus.
• Master’s degree in mechanical or environmental engineering is advantageous.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of sanitary and plumbing codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with design review tools such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and BIM platforms.
• Deep understanding of hydraulic design principles, water supply, drainage, and sewage systems.
• Experience in interdisciplinary coordination and detailed technical review.
• Familiarity with sustainable water management and green building practices (e.g., LEED, EDGE) is an advantage.
