Senior Associate - Transaction Monitoring & Name Screening

About the role

PwC's IFS (Internal Firm Services) in Cairo is hiring a Senior Transaction Monitoring Name Screening Analyst. You will lead the analysis and oversight of transaction monitoring and name screening processes, manage complex investigations, strengthen monitoring frameworks and mentor junior team members. The role requires 3+ years of experience in financial crime prevention, AML or a related field.

Key responsibilities

• Lead investigations of complex, high-risk transactions and identify patterns of financial crime or regulatory breaches
• Oversee and refine name screening against watchlists and databases, resolving matches accurately and escalating when needed
• Ensure full compliance with AML regulations, internal policies and industry best practice, and adapt to new regulations
• Prepare detailed reports on suspicious activity, emerging risks and trends, and present findings to senior management and regulators
• Improve transaction monitoring and name screening procedures, tools and methodologies
• Mentor junior analysts and run training sessions
• Collaborate with compliance officers, risk management teams and external partners, and lead special projects on transaction monitoring and financial crime prevention

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in transaction monitoring, name screening, AML or a related field, handling complex investigations and leading process improvements
• In-depth knowledge of AML regulations, financial crime typologies and watchlist screening
• CAMS certification preferred
