Senior External Auditor - Cairo (CoE)

About the role

EY is looking for a Senior External Auditor to join its Cairo audit team and support the Center of Excellence (CoE). The role helps clients in GCC countries meet their requirements by accurately reporting on financial statements and providing meaningful insights into accounting and reporting matters.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in audit engagements as a team member, share responsibility, support colleagues, keep senior team members updated on progress and help prepare for meetings with client management teams.
• Help prepare reports and schedules delivered to clients and other parties, and build productive working relationships with client personnel.
• Establish internal and external relationships and identify and escalate potential business opportunities for EY.
• Contribute to people initiatives, including recruiting and retaining assurance professionals.
• Anticipate and identify risks, escalate issues appropriately and ensure client deliverables are of high quality and reviewed by the next-level reviewer.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of professional experience in external audit.
• A strong academic record, including a degree or professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA or CA.
• Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive, accountable and results-driven, able to handle competing priorities and communicate effectively.
