Supply Quality & Development Specialist

About the role

As a Supply Quality & Development Specialist you will lead supplier assessments, drive corrective and preventive actions, and manage supplier quality performance both on‑site and off‑site. You will ensure that parts, materials and subcontractor services meet ABB’s standards and support continuous improvement of the supplier base.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of supplier assessments and manage supplier qualification and development processes.
• Drive approval processes for supplier parts, materials and subcontractor services, including PPAP and product surveillance.
• Address supply issues related to quality, delivery, non‑compliant products or project services promptly.
• Collaborate with buyers to engage suppliers and prepare claims cases when necessary.
• Monitor and report on supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Up to 5 years of experience in supply quality or a related field.
• Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics engineering or equivalent.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
• Relevant quality certifications such as ISO 9001.

Required skills

• Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
• Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
• ISO 9001 quality management knowledge.
