Turnaround & Restructuring Strategy Manager, Cairo

About the role

EY-Parthenon is looking for a Turnaround & Restructuring Strategy Manager/Senior Manager to join its MENA team in Cairo. The role sits at the forefront of high-profile transactions, where strategic advisors give clients high-quality advice on complex financial and operational challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients in evaluating capital options, maximizing transaction value and achieving strategic objectives through the acquisition or sale of distressed assets, business restructuring or enhanced cash management.
• Support the preparation of comprehensive financial reviews of client operations and advise on corporate risk management.
• Work closely with cross-functional project teams across strategy and transactions sub-service lines.
• Contribute to practice development initiatives and build strong client relationships while advising key decision-makers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 6 years of relevant experience in corporate restructuring.
• Client-facing experience from a professional services or consulting background.
• Strong finance and accounting capabilities with a keen eye for detail; Islamic finance knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong command of spoken and written English; Arabic is a plus.
• Willingness to travel in the region about 25 to 50% of the time.

Required skills

• Advanced numerical skills, including financial modeling and detailed financial analysis.
• Quantitative and qualitative analysis, able to synthesize complex findings and link them to client challenges.
