Vice President for Management and Operations

About the role

The Vice President for Management and Operations provides executive strategic leadership for the university’s operational and service infrastructure. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures safe, efficient, and client‑centered delivery of all core campus operations, including facilities, grounds, security, and support services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of strategic plans for physical facilities, energy management, maintenance, and campus services across all university properties.
• Oversee comprehensive maintenance programs, utilities, and energy performance initiatives to drive cost‑effective operations.
• Direct a wide range of campus services such as landscaping, housekeeping, housing, transportation, events, food services, medical services, travel, and business support, fostering a client‑focused culture.
• Provide strategic oversight of security, environmental health and safety, fire safety, and emergency management, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Manage major contracts, budgets, staffing, and risk assessments, maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Develop divisional policies, SOPs, and key performance indicators; collaborate with other university leaders to address facility‑related needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline; master’s degree preferred.
• At least 20 years of progressive facility management or operations experience, including a minimum of 10 years in an executive leadership role.
