Accountant – Receivables

About the role

The Accountant – Receivables will be responsible for managing and reconciling all customer accounts for a growing retail candy chain. This full‑time, on‑site position in Cairo ensures accurate recording of receivables, supports month‑end and year‑end closing, and contributes to a robust financial control environment.

Key responsibilities

• Issue and record invoices for all store sales.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on payments.
• Coordinate with store and sales teams to resolve account discrepancies.
• Prepare aging reports and support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Assist with internal and external audits related to receivables.
• Improve collection processes and maintain proper documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local accounting standards.

Required profile

• Strong experience in accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, reconciliation, and aging analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications are a plus.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site in Cairo and thrive in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for effective coordination with internal teams and external partners.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
