Architecture Engineer – Solar PV & BESS Projects

About the role

CSI Global is seeking an Architecture Engineer to support its solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) program. The role focuses on reviewing and ensuring the architectural design of substation buildings, control rooms, and related facilities meets functional, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review EPC contractor architectural drawings and specifications for substation, control room, guard house, O&M, and welfare facilities.
• Assess compliance with local building codes, fire safety standards, and project specifications.
• Evaluate finishes, door and window schedules, and internal layout arrangements.
• Coordinate architectural reviews with civil and structural teams to align interfaces.
• Prepare formal review comments and respond to EPC contractor submittals.
• Review fire protection and life‑safety layouts for all project buildings.
• Assess contractor requests for design deviations or material substitutions.
• Support site visits for architectural inspections when required.
• Produce architectural sections in Owner’s Engineer audit reports and maintain the submittal register.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of professional architectural experience, preferably in industrial or power facilities.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and fire safety standards.
• Excellent technical report writing and communication skills.
