Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the Head of Housekeeping in delivering flawless guest experiences across all hotel areas. Working closely with front‑desk, engineering and service teams, you will ensure that rooms and public spaces meet Accor’s high hygiene and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping operations, allocate tasks and room assignments based on occupancy and arrival lists.
• Conduct inspections of VIP rooms, guest rooms, corridors and public areas to verify compliance with Mövenpick and Accor hygiene standards.
• Coordinate with Front Desk for real‑time room status updates, early check‑ins and special guest requests.
• Partner with Engineering/Maintenance to log defects, schedule deep cleaning and oversee preventative maintenance.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate a team of supervisors, room attendants and public‑area cleaners; organise daily briefings and training on SOPs, chemical safety and premium guest interaction.
• Manage staff scheduling, attendance and payroll reporting in line with Egyptian labour regulations.
• Monitor inventories of linens, uniforms, amenities and cleaning chemicals; control waste and support monthly budget adherence.
• Oversee Lost & Found procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and safekeeping of guest property.
• Handle guest complaints and special requests promptly, and analyse satisfaction surveys to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive housekeeping experience in a 5‑star hotel, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or assistant‑manager role.
• Previous experience within the Accor network or another premium international brand is highly preferred.
