Business Director - Communications Consultancy

About the role

The Business Director will lead client relationships and oversee a multidisciplinary team within a communications consultancy. Reporting to senior leadership, you will collaborate with creative, strategy, production and external partners across the Publicis Group to drive growth and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Own the strategic, operational and delivery aspects of assigned client accounts.
• Build and nurture strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and industry expert.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities leveraging group capabilities.
• Lead cross‑functional teams (creative, strategy, production) to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery.
• Define project scope, allocate resources and meet financial targets.
• Mentor and guide team members’ career development.
• Support business development initiatives alongside senior agency stakeholders.
• Maintain brand consistency and serve as a brand guardian.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior client‑facing roles within communications or marketing agencies.
• Demonstrated ability to grow client revenue and drive strategic initiatives.
• Strong leadership and team‑management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Deep understanding of industry trends and consumer journeys.
