Capital Project Services (CPS) Project Manager

About the role

PwC's Capital Project Services (CPS) team supports clients across Energy, Utilities, Resource, Transport, Oil & Gas and Government & Healthcare with capital project delivery. As a CPS Project Manager, you will design and implement project and programme management strategies for clients, working closely with senior leaders of major global organisations to improve the efficiency of their capital programmes, support project objectives and guide clients through tight budget constraints. The role is predominantly focused on the UK market, supported remotely from ETIC in Cairo, with regional and UK travel.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, reporting to senior staff in ETIC and the UK
• Lead, mentor and develop junior team members, providing training and guidance
• Build strong client relationships and act as a key point of contact
• Contribute to the technical development of yourself and the team, keeping up with industry best practice
• Stay informed on local and national business and economic trends relevant to capital projects
• Take part in business development, identifying and researching new opportunities
• Promote the CPS team's capabilities within the firm
• Work on engagements such as programme recovery and turnaround, capital programme optimisation, digital transformation of project controls, procurement and supply chain strategy, and independent project assurance

Required profile

• Experience in asset management environments
• Proven ability to lead, manage or work effectively within teams to deliver projects
• Experience managing contracts, suppliers or projects, with a sound understanding of project delivery principles
• Management consulting experience, including designing and implementing operating and delivery models
• Experience in digital transformation or technology consulting
• Commercial experience in supply chain, procurement, commercial management or contract negotiations
• Solid academic background and relevant industry experience
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required
