Chef de Cuisine - Beach Club & Events

About the role

Portaluna, the first Morgans Originals hotel in Egypt, is looking for a passionate, creative and experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead its culinary experience across the Beach Club and Events. The role covers everything from distinctive menus and beachside dining to event preparation and kitchen leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day culinary operations of the Beach Club and Events, ensuring quality, consistency and presentation.
• Create and deliver innovative menus for beach club dining, private events, celebrations and special activations.
• Coach and develop a high-performing culinary team in a positive, inclusive kitchen culture.
• Partner with the Executive Chef, Food & Beverage and Events teams to plan and run seamless culinary experiences.
• Oversee event preparation and execution, coordinating service and food quality for events of all sizes.
• Control food costs, manage budgets, inventory and waste, and plan staffing and resources for seasonal peaks and events.
• Manage food purchasing, supplier coordination and product quality.
• Maintain strict food safety, hygiene and compliance with local regulations.

Required profile

• Previous experience as Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role in a luxury hotel, beach club or high-end dining setting.
• Hands-on experience in beach club operations, outdoor dining, banqueting or large-scale events.
• Proven ability to lead and develop culinary teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing food costs, budgets and inventory.
• Strong command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
