Food & Beverage Manager

About the role

Portaluna, the first Morgans Originals hotel in Egypt, is looking for a passionate, creative and commercially minded Food & Beverage Manager. The role goes beyond running restaurants and bars: it is about creating memorable guest experiences, building a team that loves its work and making every guest interaction count.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Food & Beverage outlets, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and consistent service standards.
• Inspire, coach and develop a high-performing F&B team in a positive, inclusive and energetic environment.
• Partner with the culinary and leadership teams to deliver distinctive dining experiences.
• Drive commercial performance through budgeting, forecasting, cost control and revenue optimisation.
• Monitor guest feedback, service quality and operational performance to identify continuous improvement.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, training and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and health & safety requirements.
• Work with Sales, Marketing and other departments on events and initiatives that enhance the guest experience.
• Champion innovation and keep F&B offerings relevant and commercially successful.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Food & Beverage management role in a luxury or lifestyle hotel.
• Strong operational knowledge of restaurant, bar and hospitality service standards.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop diverse teams.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, costs, revenue and departmental performance.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach.
• Strong command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Lifestyle hospitality or a distinctive independent hotel brand experience is an advantage.
