About the role
Join the inaugural Morgans Originals hotel in Egypt as a Commis Chef, supporting senior chefs in delivering high‑quality dishes in a vibrant, lifestyle‑focused hospitality environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist senior chefs with ingredient preparation, cooking, and plating according to recipes.
- Perform mise en place, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and preparing sauces.
- Monitor freshness and proper storage of all food items, rotating stock as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Support multiple kitchen stations (starters, mains, pastry) and help with inventory checks.
- Ensure timely delivery of orders and assist with any additional tasks assigned by management.
Required profile
- Enthusiastic and reliable individual eager to learn in a fast‑paced kitchen.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and work collaboratively with senior kitchen staff.
