Cost Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Cost Accountant to join our finance team in 10th of Ramadan. The role focuses on accurate cost recording, analysis, and reporting to support production and operational decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Record and analyze direct material, direct labor, and manufacturing overhead costs, ensuring compliance with company policy.
• Prepare periodic cost reports and generate cost sheets for units, projects, and operations for internal review.
• Monitor cost variances by comparing actual costs with standard or budgeted figures, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and inventory teams to gather cost data and provide financial guidance.
• Reconcile cost accounts, support internal and external audits, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Calculate inventory costs using approved methods (FIFO, LIFO, weighted average) and update COGS and inventory valuation for financial reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Previous experience in cost accounting, financial accounting, or cost analysis is preferred.
