Sales Assistant - IKEA Cairo Festival City

About the role

Al-Futtaim Retail, which operates IKEA stores in Egypt, is hiring a Sales Assistant for the Cairo Festival City location. The role supports customers in buying products while keeping merchandising standards and stock availability, and helps meet sales targets. It involves building rapport with customers, spotting sales opportunities and coordinating with procurement on product range changes.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the assigned area daily for price labels, product information tags and communication media.
• Review daily stock levels and recommend orders to the Shopkeeper, coordinating with the Procurement Executive.
• Focus on customer satisfaction, empathy and support, reflecting IKEA values.
• Talk with customers daily to gather feedback and build trust, and prepare pro forma invoices.
• Maintain contact with customers on new products and follow up on quotations.
• Spot sales opportunities, suggest alternatives and advise on improving sales and removing non-selling items.
• Maintain product displays using company merchandising methods and stay informed on product range and local market trends.
• Update the Sales Manager on customer feedback and new product range gaps.

Required profile

• Secondary education.
• 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Sales-driven attitude and proven proactivity.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to solve problems.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is preferred.
