Director of IT

About the role

The Director of IT will lead the Management Information Services (MIS) function for a luxury hotel cluster, ensuring technology aligns with business objectives. Reporting to senior hotel management, this role oversees planning, implementation, and maintenance of all MIS solutions across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain comprehensive MIS technology plans and road‑maps.
• Coordinate installation, configuration, and problem resolution for new MIS applications and systems.
• Lead project work for MIS roll‑outs, providing status reports and cost analyses.
• Deliver end‑user support to hotel staff and business centre personnel.
• Evaluate technology life‑cycles, certify software, and advise properties on IT best practices.
• Execute disaster recovery and business continuity procedures related to technology.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, information security standards, and vendor contracts.
• Maintain secure server environments, conduct asset inventories, and manage IT security compliance.

Required profile

• 2‑year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field with at least 4 years relevant experience, OR a 4‑year bachelor’s degree with 2 years experience and trainer certification.
• Proven experience managing MIS projects in a hospitality environment.
• Strong understanding of technology asset life‑cycles, disaster recovery, and information security.
• Ability to lead technical teams, coordinate with vendors, and communicate with senior hotel management.
