Director of Training

About the role

Kempinski is looking for a Director of Training for its hotel in Cairo. The role covers the hotel's training and development, using Kempinski's offline and online learning tools to build talent and secure the hotel's ability to deliver exceptional guest service. It is a permanent full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all employees receive Kempinski and locally required training, and that the hotel follows the 70-20-10 training strategy and achieves the company's training engagement KPIs.
• Use Kempinski training tools such as F! & E! programmes, the Leadership Development Programme and online learning, and implement the Kempinski on-job training tools (Training BITES).
• Plan, design and deliver training programmes, coach managers and departmental trainers, and work with the General Manager on learning for EXCOM and HODs.
• Analyse training needs and effectiveness, track implementation of training tools, and prepare the yearly training budget and business plan.
• Organise Kempinski DNA and brand immersion activities, and use the Kempinski Experience Assessment tool to identify training needs and provide remedial training.
• Support talent development: identify training talents, propose and foster Master Trainer candidates, and support transfers and cross-exposure assignments.
• Establish a training network, partner with external suppliers and training providers, and complete annual self-audits and peer audits.

Required profile

• One year in a similar position within a luxury brand.
• Two years in a Training Manager position within a luxury brand.
• Experience in administration, planning and organisation, verbal and written communication, presentation, customer service, budgeting and team leadership.

• Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• E-learning and ability to design training programmes (instructional design).
