Donor Center Technician – Maadi

About the role

The Donor Center Technician ensures safe and efficient plasmapheresis procedures for donors at our Maadi facility. You will conduct medical screenings, operate the automated plasmapheresis machine, and support the plasma collection process while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑donation medical screening, including vital signs, medical history, and finger‑stick tests for hematocrit and protein.
• Set up, monitor, and disconnect the automated plasmapheresis machine according to SOPs.
• Provide feedback to donors who do not meet eligibility criteria and maintain donor confidentiality.
• Create and organize donor files, ensuring accurate documentation of all procedures.
• Report unsafe conditions and assist in emergency medical situations as needed.
• Follow cGMP, local authority regulations, and internal SOPs throughout all activities.

Required profile

• Nurse or Health Technical Institute graduate (or equivalent).
• At least 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in plasma or whole‑blood environments.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Strong communication and customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work in a highly regulated, fast‑paced medical setting.

Required skills

• Operation of automated plasmapheresis machines.
• Use of Hematastat and refractometer for HCT and protein measurement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of cGMP and SOP compliance.
