Electrical Engineer – Design Review & Construction Supervision

About the role

Dar, a member of the Sidra group, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its PMC design review and supervision team. You will be responsible for ensuring that electrical works across large‑scale projects meet design intent, specifications, and international codes.

Key responsibilities

• Review and coordinate detailed shop drawings and BIM models for electrical systems.
• Verify compliance with project specifications, design intent, and relevant codes.
• Supervise installation, commissioning, and quality control of electrical works.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve clashes and ensure seamless integration.
• Prepare and review technical specifications, bills of quantities, and equipment selections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 6–8 years of experience in electrical design review and construction supervision, preferably with a consultant or PMC firm.
• Experience with elevator and escalator systems and large mixed‑use or commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of international building codes and local authority regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Hands‑on experience with BIM model review, coordination, and clash detection.
• Ability to conduct shop‑drawing reviews and equipment selection.
• Familiarity with technical specifications, bills of quantities, and safety standards.
