Electrical Procurement Engineer – Construction Focus

About the role

GTC Internet is seeking an Electrical Procurement Engineer to join its Head Office team in Heliopolis. The role focuses on managing procurement and subcontracting activities for electrical materials and works on large‑scale infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement of electrical equipment, materials and subcontracted works, preparing RFQs, tender documents and purchase orders.
• Source, evaluate and pre‑qualify electrical suppliers and subcontractors, and conduct technical and commercial bid evaluations.
• Negotiate subcontract agreements, oversee contract award processes and monitor supplier performance against schedules and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering, site, planning, contracts and finance teams to ensure alignment with project timelines, budgets and technical requirements.
• Identify cost‑optimization opportunities and support value‑engineering initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience in electrical procurement and subcontracting within the construction industry.
• Familiarity with infrastructure projects, construction methodologies and FIDIC contract principles.
• Strong negotiation, communication and coordination abilities.
