Senior Mechanical Engineer – Maintenance & Operations

About the role

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead the preventive maintenance program for all mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance (PM) plans for HVAC, fire fighting, elevators, pumps, generators, and boiler systems.
• Diagnose complex faults, monitor equipment performance, and prepare efficiency reports.
• Supervise contractors, suppliers, and a team of 10‑20 technicians and junior engineers.
• Manage spare parts inventory, procurement requests, and annual maintenance budgets.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and OSHA standards and conduct root cause analysis for major breakdowns.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10‑15 years of experience in maintenance and operation of mechanical systems.
• Strong technical expertise in HVAC, fire fighting & alarm, pumps, and plumbing networks.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and as‑built documents.

Required skills

• HVAC systems (chillers, AHU, FCU, VRV/VRF).
• Fire fighting and fire alarm systems.
• Pumps, plumbing networks, and water systems.
• AutoCAD, MS Office, and CMMS software.
