Finance Operations Manager

About the role

PwC's Managed Services line delivers operational solutions for clients, combining advisory capabilities, technology expertise and delivery. As Finance Operations Manager in the Finance Service Tower in Cairo, you manage the day-to-day operations of finance engagement teams, delivering finance managed services to customers. You are accountable for service-level performance and for helping shape and run the Finance Managed Services strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of finance engagements, including oversight of key customer deliverables
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions across end-to-end processes such as procure to pay, record to report, order to cash and general ledger
• Complete quality reviews and audits so delivery meets policies, procedures, compliance standards and customer expectations
• Hold overall accountability for SLA/OLA compliance within the engagement team
• Apply analytical and financial modelling skills, and interpret financial data
• Monitor team performance, coach and mentor team members, and manage workload and escalations
• Implement corrective actions, lead quality improvement initiatives and help execute Finance Managed Services plans and programs
• Build relationships with colleagues, client teams and customers, and adapt quickly to new processes

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant with at least 5 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting, or a qualified Chartered Accountant
• 3+ years of people management experience leading a team in a complex process environment
• Experience coaching a team to meet deadlines and tracking KPIs for finance operations
• Fluent English and strong leadership, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Required skills

• Strong practical knowledge of accounting and reporting systems, and of profit and loss and balance sheet
• Understanding of financial reporting processes, risk and controls
• Knowledge of US GAAP; insurance or reinsurance accounting and financial instruments accounting are desirable
• Excellent MS Office skills
