Financial Project Controller

About the role

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Financial Project Controller to join its Egypt team and drive the financial performance of large‑scale rail infrastructure projects. You will act as the primary financial partner for project managers, ensuring accurate accounting, forecasting and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts (revenue, margin, cash flow) and perform actual‑versus‑plan analysis.
• Define, monitor and report key financial KPIs, identifying opportunities for optimisation.
• Provide accurate project accounting and ensure compliance with organisational financial standards.
• Identify financial risks and cost overruns early, implementing mitigation strategies.
• Analyse cost structures, pinpoint key cost drivers and propose profitability‑enhancing actions.
• Support project managers with commercial expertise from execution to closure.
• Manage financial guarantees, bonds and insurance requirements.
• Oversee commercial handling of customer orders, including invoicing, reporting and cash collection.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in financial project management or controlling, preferably in rail infrastructure or a similar industrial sector.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Proven risk‑management capabilities.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (agile or traditional).
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Fluent English with the ability to read contracts and engage stakeholders.
