First Officer (Pilot) – Egypt

About the role

The First Officer supports the Captain in operating flights safely, efficiently and comfortably. The role involves monitoring flight progress, handling documentation, coordinating with crew and dispatch, and taking control of the aircraft when instructed.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Pilot Flying or Pilot Monitoring, ensuring safe and efficient flight operations.
• Coordinate pre‑flight planning with the Captain and Dispatch Team, covering aircraft status, route, weather, fuel, weight and crew roles.
• Perform required checks, record take‑off data, fuel requirements and ATS flight plans, and maintain log‑book and crew flight plan forms.
• Supervise fuelling operations at stations without qualified personnel, verifying fuel type and distribution.
• Alert the Captain to any irregularities and assist the crew in handling safety or security issues.
• Undertake ground‑based tasks such as Safety Officer or Security Officer as directed.
• Stay up‑to‑date with civil aviation authority regulations and airline operational manuals.
• Participate in recurrent and competency‑based training programmes.

Required profile

• Valid pilot licence and type rating as required by the relevant civil aviation authority.
• Familiarity with the airline’s Operations Manual and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the Captain, crew and dispatch personnel.
• Willingness to attend scheduled training and maintain current certifications.

Required skills

• Proficiency with airline documentation and flight‑planning procedures.
