Foundational Learning Consultant (Remote, Egypt)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a senior consultant to provide technical leadership and project management for its Foundational Learning (FL) portfolio in Egypt. The role will be remote, with occasional travel, and will focus on scaling evidence‑based learning interventions across primary, preparatory and TVET levels in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education (MoETE).

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, planning and preparation of scale‑up packages for FL programmes in close collaboration with MoETE.
• Coordinate timelines, stakeholders and deliverables across UNICEF and key partners to ensure coherent, high‑quality and timely implementation.
• Establish performance monitoring, quality‑assurance processes and documentation to guide effective rollout and scaling.
• Integrate Ed‑Tech solutions and blended‑learning approaches to expand reach and improve learning outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, International Development or Humanitarian Studies (Master’s degree is a strong asset).
• 10–15 years of progressively responsible experience in foundational learning, early‑grade education or adolescent remediation programmes.
• Proven experience co‑designing large‑scale education interventions and managing multi‑stakeholder projects.
