General Manager – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Movenpick Resort El Quseir is looking for an experienced General Manager to lead its luxury resort operations in El Quseir, Egypt. This senior position oversees all aspects of the property, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while driving profitability and maintaining the highest hospitality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house departments to ensure seamless coordination and service delivery.
• Develop and implement strategic business plans to meet revenue targets and enhance market positioning.
• Lead, mentor and motivate department heads and staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Manage the resort’s budget, financial performance and P&L statements, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality.
• Maintain high guest‑satisfaction levels through service standards, feedback mechanisms and prompt issue resolution.
• Build and sustain relationships with corporate clients, travel partners and the local community.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, health and safety standards and company policies.
• Identify market opportunities, drive occupancy growth and oversee marketing initiatives.
• Conduct performance reviews, implement training programs and manage crisis situations.

Required profile

• Fluency in German (written and spoken) – critical requirement.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) – essential.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive management experience in luxury hotel or resort operations.
• Proven track record of managing P&L, budgeting and delivering profitable results.
